Announcing Cognition Media

Simplifying education by bringing technology into the classroom

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been very busy with a project I’m very excited about. A couple of friends and I heard about a business plan competition for students where funding was awarded to start a business in Northeastern PA (NEPA). We decided to enter and placed 3rd, receiving enough funding to start our business. It’s with great excitement that I introduced our company, Cognition Media.

Cognition Media is a company that focuses on E-Learning, primarily for high schools. Our flagship system, Minerva CMS, will give high schools the ability to place everything they manage by paper on the computer to manage it electronically. More importantly, it opens up dialogues between the school and parents, and the school and the community.

Currently Minerva is in it’s first iteration, a content management system for the high school’s front end website. The first Minerva run site will be rolled out later this month. In the next few months, Cognition Media’s goal will be to grow Minerva and release it’s next build, which will include course management, allowing teachers to bring their classroom to the web.

Keep checking back in the next coming weeks for news about our forthcoming website and of course, later builds of Minvera. Right now, if you have any questions about the new company, you can contact me here.
